
McLloyd K. Jensen
McLloyd “Mac” Jensen is a proven and effective leader and producer having nearly 30 years of experience in investment finance. He has an unparalleled network, in the investment community not only locally but globally. Mac oversees investment sourcing and institutional outreach within Umergence.
Mac began his career as a research consultant and manager for LEXIS/NEXIS. In this position, he focused on legal research and business strategy for multi-national organizations. His performance and strong work ethic led him to lead the Flagship Branch in Washington DC. Mac advanced his financial research skill set by joining Nomura Securities International in New York City as a Latin American Electric Utility Equity Analyst and worked on a team that earned a #1 ranking by Institutional Investors. He then joined Caspian Securities in a similar role adding Argentine Telcos to his coverage. Soon after Mac joined Societe Generale in an institutional research and sales role. While at Societe Generale, Mac led the Closed-End Fund research, sales, and trading team, covering both listed and offshore Closed-End Funds. In addition, Mac covered Latin American and Asian equity markets. During his time at Societe Generale, Mac was a top performer and most notably orchestrated the largest placement (US$400M) to an international manager by a state pension. Over time, Mac developed many close relationships with several star portfolio managers that he maintains to this day, including the legendary Sir John Templeton. Initially, Mac served as an investment advisor to Sir John Templeton focusing on various alternative investments. In this role, Mac helped to deploy hundreds of millions on Sir John Templeton's behalf. Thereafter, Mac managed the Solitude Offshore Fund, created for Sir John Templeton and launched in 2002. The Solitude Offshore Fund performed in the top decile for the life of the fund, under Mac's management. His career experiences led Mac to co-found Mann Mann Jensen Partners LP, the precursor to Delphos MMJ LP.
Mac earned his B.A. in Economics and English from the University of Utah. He has an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business under the TRIUM Program jointly awarded by the London School of Economics and HEC Paris.
